i just purchased this car and it has 105k on the odo. carfax tells me its well well north of 200k no one knows (yet) so i purchased a set of redone heads valves cams etc... upon taking the covers off i discovered that the guide rails are in good shape and not as brown as i would have thought. The timing chain stretch is at a 1.

Sooooo... Long story short im going to change the chain and guides. And want to do a leak down test before messing with the heads.

Can it be done on a cold motor (dont want to reconnect all the plumbing just to take it off again).

My expectation is that i will have a bit more leak with it cold but none the less would be able to compare the difference between the cylinders
