What are the differences on the engine in the 109/111/115 CDI? They all got the same cylinder volume and they all got a turbo and an intercooler. Are the differences only in the software?

Other differences I should know of when considering buying one?

Thanks!

Its more than just psi (I think). the 115 is rear wheel drive, earlier models were front wheel drive - think 112, The 115 has a variable geometry turbo which I dont think earlier models had.

Cant tell u much more, sorry

The 109\111\115\120 are the same models, they are the new shape Vito,s, the 109\111\115 have different turbo psi,s ,hence power outputs, 109"88 bhp" being the lowest ,120"204 bhp" being the highest. The 120 is newer and may have a completely different engine as far as i know. They all have rear wheel drive to.
The "112" is an older shaped vito.

ahhha, thanks for that. Not being argumentative, just curious - here in RSA we only get the 220CDi version of the 115, listed as making 110kw (147hp), but the book shows other models being available, notably the 270CDI and the 3.2l petrol, all covered under the moniker of 115, so how does the 115 relate to being horsepower yet cover so many models?

That link was super, ta.

Seems they are all the same body with 3.2m wheelbase, all except the 120 have the same engine designation, so it must be a turbo - software combination that gives you the extra oomph on the 109/111/115.....that 120 looks very tasty indeed, a 3 litre turbo diesel that does 0-60mph in 8 secs....could fancy me one of those....but alas alack, all we get here is the 115,
