Ive finally got a couple of hours to work on my van.
After reading many threads regarding injectors this seemed like the most relevant place to start.
Having checked all electrical components over the last week I spent most of the morning removing parts from the engine.
Other than the Carbon build up mentioned in almost every other thread on here there didnt seem to be any clear visual problems.
Cleaned every thing as best I could and removed the cover to what I assume is the injector housing. Theres no sign of any obvious leaking here either but there is a broken wire thats marked in the photo attached.
My question is should I try to remove the injectors for a closer inspection or would I just be risking more by doing this when I need not do it.
Could this wire be the source of my problem? edc light coming on and van cutting out, restarting in limp mode. Any input greatly recieved.
Ta.
Also whats this marked no 2? It led to an air pipe im sure but when I removed it there seemed to be oil or something leaking out, is this normal?
No 3 is an old fishing rod cut in half that I used to clean the Carbon deposits from the plastic covers, top and bottom. Worked well and the flexibility heped bend round the corner of the bottom cover.

spoke to my mechanic this afternoon, not a mercdad! replacement of broken wiring should fix my problem. Looking forward to getting the van back on the road, also saved a fortune by doing the work myself, Quoted serious money by Mercedes specialist?
Some nice pimping in the other threads, anywhere in Ireland that I can get some of this interior trim? can spend my saved money on interior trim. Ta
