MB was listed maybe 4 timse I think. This thing is rigged, no voting from the readers, and voted by the editors I think.

Come on, I am more than sure that MB made more than 4 great models (which BTW 3/4 are classics/vintage).

The only modern one was the W220 S-Class. Pffft, they haven't seen the new W221 S yet.[8D]

I wasn't impressed with the list either, and I had an Austin Maxi.. Sad, I know, but it was 26 years ago..
I suppose some of them were design innovations at the time, but... One of the greatest ever cars not on the list has to be the Bugatti Napoleon Royale. Think Cruella De Villes' car in the original 101 Dalmations and you're there, but with more presence than you could imagine. It's impossible to value.. I think it's got a straight 8 motor.., two 4 cylinder blocks end to end.. I believe only a handful were ever made and two of them, plus a chassis with a later body, are in the French National Motor Museum (ex-Schlumpf Brothers private museum) in Mulhouse, between Strasbourg and Basel near the German border. It's truly a masterpiece, a real Mona Lisa of the car makers art. The museum also has the worlds biggest collection of Bugattis, plus lots of other motors. WELL worth a visit..

That list sounds more like the authors favorites automobiles.

Lamborghini- no mention of the Countach 5000 but the LM002[?]

Mercedes- no mention of the 6.9 (legendary whether or not you agree)or the W123 or W126[?]

Jaguar- XJ trumps the E type[?]

I think the list was created based on the author's, editor's opinions. That's why I said it was rigged.
