I'm at about 185K, which is the original price plus repairs!! Actually a California S500 for $10,500 has been a tremendous investment with only minor repairs.
Glad you're enjoying it [8D] It's still exciting for me every time I get in the W140 [:)]

Regards,
Bryan

I'll be around aristotle, but I almost never get downtown. Drive careful...our cabbies are something else. I had a small broadside encouter with one last time I was downtown. Of course I wasn't in the S600, I was in my Custom Cruiser Wagon.

Let me ask you something aristotled,

When you turn your heat on, and engine is cold, does the blower motor come on and blow cold air out the vents? Also, once the engine is warm, how hard / fast does hot air come out the vents when heat is set on high?

The vents shouldn't blow air until the engine is warm enough (assuming that you have the climate control set to blow hot air).

The hot air does not come out of the vents very fast when set to high . . . one of my Mom's complaints with the car. That's just the way it is. The vents blow a lot harder if set to cold and high in our car.

ahhh...THAT problem again. i posted a problem a few weeks ago concerning my blower and where it blows the air and the temp of the air. you might want to check that thread out. but to sumarize: when my car is really cold and it's really cold outside i have only cold air blowing out of the defrost, nothing blows anywhere else. once the engine warms up i get warm air from the defrost but if it is cold outside i only get air from the defrost vents. if it is in warm weather i will get cool air blowing from wherever i choose until the engine warms up again and then it will be warm. the volume of air is determined by the fan speed and i've never had any problem with high speed in either cold or hot weather. the third, and maybe nonrelated, item is that sometimes in cold weather the fan blows only cold air even after the engine warms up. i have to shut off the car and restart it. then it will usually 'reset' or something and blow normally. my car grew up in texas so maybe it just doesn't like the cold. it is a nagging issue that i have learned to live with i guess...how about you PC?
