I just had my tires balanced and rotated - the tech pointed out an uneven wear pattern on the inside of the drivers rear tire. He suggested it could be the strut? However, there's no evidence of failure with the strut? I'm wondering if it is not an alignment problem and not a strut problem. Any way to tell if the strut is bad if there's no sagging or bottoming out, and no sign of fluid leakage?

i would think if there's no fluid or sagging that you've got an alignment problem, probably too much toe and negative camber if the uneven wear is on the inside shoulder of the tire.

I would have wheel alignment done first of all.

I agree... get an alignment done and see what your specs was before and after. That will tell you if you had excessive toe and/or camber... but TOE is the main problem when having inner tire wear.

Since the rear height is electronically controlled. It might be the rear height sensor having issues too (not inflating the rear bags one side to spec height).
