I was wondering if anybody can tell me which stock wheels came with an '04 SL500. I currently have the 5 spoke star with the indentation in the middle of each spoke. I am looking at a turbine type look wheel which looks like it has round open circles inside the turbine design (also Mercedes). Was this wheel stock on some '04's or is it an option wheel, or is it an AMG or SL55 wheel? I got a good price on a set and am trying to make a decision very soon. Thanks for any input!

A picture of the wheel would help just to be sure. But I think that wheel was
an option. Was definitely not the standard wheel and was not the wheel that was shipped as the standard wheel for the AMG package.

Turbine was an option in the UK. Think it came with the sports package in the US. Very nice they are too.

I think the turbine look wheels are nice looking as well. It adds a more sporty look to the SL. I plan to pick them up today. BTW, it really isn't a turbine wheel. The turbine wheel has numerous spines eminating from the center. The wheel I'm refering to has 4 fat center pieces and rotate clockwise and get smaller in size as they get closer to the outside edge.

I have the wheels you describe. They came stock with the AMG package on my 2005 SL. Not sure if they were available in '04 and by '06 they were gone. They are hot and helped my decision to buy this particular benz.
