Just bough another s55. I am having some issues with the throttle and high rev. when I start the car it will idle high in park and neutral. then it will just go to limp mode with no throttle. I am in Orange county Ca ..there was a guy sseric who seemed to know alot about it..he works for MB just hoping someone can give me some good advice. gonna replace plugs this weekend.
Thanks

Read the fault codes and go from there. Changing plugs will not help you with this situation.

Well can you read codes first because without it pointless to replace parts. Well if your mad is bad or dirty you will loose power. Crank sensor will send wrong information to computer so cilinders may not fire. Also coil could be bad too many unknown for you not to get codes read at car parts store. Code reader is 8$ that hooks up to laptop.

Looks like you have several possibles to check out here, but it all points back to the throttle body.

Clean it first and make sure the pipes connected to it are not hardened and leaking.

Is 2094 crankshaft sensor but I also read about air filter incorrectly installed. Did you look around maf I just replaced my sensor and both gaskets and hose.
tritron the MAF is also a possible candidate for this but given the fault codes it all points back to a dirty/faulty throttle valve. So best he try cleaning the TB first off.

never taken the throttle body off. however there is a youtube.(this guy is good) who shows in a 5 minute video how to replace injectors. shows it is a pretty easy diy
to get the throttle body off. what do you recommend for cleaner. and is his disassemble the best way to go about it? looks easy enough

just glanced thru......... are we talking "throttle valve" or "throttle body"... is it a transmission or engine issue....... I see both mentioned, are both at issue here?
The throttle valve is an integral part of the throttle body and to clean it you need to remove the throttle body. I hope this makes sense to you?

Yee haw

So guys check it out. Father in law brought his tools changed the plugs (never changed). And then we went ahead and cleaned the throttle body and BOOM now she runs like a dream. No problems at all. I saved 2200 on a new throttle body job. Now I've just done motor mounts tranny mounts and done,,,, thanks for all of the help guys. I really appreciate it. Plugs were a mess
