I am hoping that one of yall would be able to help me with this issue i have. I made the stupid decision of removing the battery from my car without unlocking it and now when i put the battery back in the alarm goes off and i cant get the car to turn over or even unlock the car with the key fob. Just looking to hopefully figure out what i can get her to do so shes starts up again.

Let the alarm go off.
Us the metal key to unlock the drivers door. At that point put the key fob in the ignition and turn it to position two.
That should shut off the alarm.
Filling your year and model in your profile would be helpful.

Well i have an 03 e500. When i put the key into the ignition i cant get it to turn at all. I was thinking i had immobilized the car but was hoping there is a way around this.

That is odd. Once the key is in the ignition it should shut down the alarm and allow the car to start.

Has the alarm module acted strangely in the recent past?

The alarm has never acted we before. Ive had issues with the electrics no working or cutting out here and there. But all fuses and relays are fine. Ive searched through the website and I haven’t found someone with the same issue. I saw on YouTube people cutting the wires to the alarm and then removing it but I don’t think that would address the issue of it not allowing the key to turn.
