Picked up my new key fob for my 02. Ordered on Saturday and it was delivered to dealer yesterday. I’m amazed. Picked up this morning and we noticed a very interesting thing. Whomever programmed this remote, programmed it so it takes 2 presses of the unlock button to unlock the passenger door. Just like most modern cars have the ability to.
I know others who have a new key and theirs opens both sorts at same time. I kinda like this set up.

If you ever decide to change the method of your global locking for all doors from two clicks back to one, the instructions on how to do it are in your owners booklet. I was reading it through and noticed that. I believe it says that you would need to hold both lock and unlock buttons on your remote together.
