[Infrared]

Drives terrific except during hard acceleration or high speeds. Check engine goes on. Code says cylinder misfire. car runs rough. Restart brings car back to normal status. Just passed inspection for emissions. Any ideas out there?? wires, plugs etc

If you are sure it was cyl. #6, then switch the ignition wire from #6 to #5, then take it for a test drive and see if the misfire is now on #5 cyl.

If the misfire remains on #6, then you must do the same thing, one at a time, with the spark plug, and then the coil. But without having a scanner or code reader, you will never know if the problem has transferred to the other cylinder.
