My key will not open the doors none of the functions on the key work but the light lights up. The battery in the car is good and charged fully and when i put the key in the ignition it will not turn at all.

Any ideas?

try to use your spare key first. if that doesnt work also you might have an electronic ignition module problem.

dont have a spare key. Yes it is cold up here in new york.

Same thing is wrong with my 02 S55 and dealership wants about 1100-1400 to replace the EIS and a new Keyless-Go. Sucks that only the dealership can replace it. They dont even sell it to anyone useless they install it, which cost about $520 for the EIS and about $200 for the keyless go and the rest is for labor and reprograming.

I'm in Ontario, it was -25*C yesterday, my door locks, and trunk/door close assist wouldn't work. What is the cold affecting? where can I look? It just started this winter and I need to fix it soon
