Check fuses first.
There is a fuse chart under the lid of the fuse tray in the engine compartment and then
another one on the right side of passenger kick panel.
I can't remember which year the seat fuses were moved from under the hood to the right
side kick panel fuse tray.

Forget the fuse check. I misunderstood.

The last one I saw that had that problem needed a power seat base. The new price is obscene.
They do not sell the individual parts for the power seat base. Just the whole unit. It is
around $1000 list. parts.com would have for $720 plus shipping. Part 1639101177.
I would go on the hunt for a used one. Try Potomac German Auto or car-part.com
These seat bases are out there. They can be tricky to locate.

It is about a 3 hour job. Not really that hard if you have the space to do it.

Have it looked at first before jumping off the cliff.

I saw grungy old penny jam up the track on one side.

Also if you get a used one for $400 and it is $240 to install it the truck is still worth the repair.
