I would assume that the numbers we see on the spec sheet for the C230 coupe are for the manual. Anyone know for sure? I've got the automatic. When I'm pulling out into fast moving traffic, should I just let the auto do the work or wind the gears out to get max. acceleration?

The auto is 7.5 0-60

For fastest accelleration, let the car shift itself. The reason for the manumatic is to control upshift in turns. For example you enter a turn at 50 miles per hour with your foot deep into the throttle, you let go of the throttle for a second the car upshifts, you bang on the throttle and the car pauses to downshift and you've lost valuable time and caused extra work for the tranny. For this reason you may want to shift manually in mountain roads or road racing.
