The power steering leaks badly. I like to see if parts are available or how hard they are to obtain before removing anything and disabling the car. I’ve searched and not found many posts about this issue. The dealer wants parts numbers- I’ve already been to them for fuel hoses.
Does anyone have anything they can share please? I have to refill the reservoir every time I drive it. Leaks while parked too.

Where is it leaking? the pump, the gear box, or the hoses?

PS, it's a shame your dealer is so incompetent that they cant look part numbers up.

You can look up part numbers here:
Mercedes FG 116.033 (040) > Mercedes EPC Online > nemigaparts.com
(this is a lesser model of the software that ALL dealers have. - twits at part counter are illiterate in using it sometimes.)

steering gear box is 1164601101 ,

ps pump is 6114600080 or 1264601480 depending on mfg or style

hoses - I think the high pressure line you can take to NAPA auto and they can replace the rubber hose on the old fittings.

PS. Dont have the MB dealer do any work, find a local independant shop that knows Mercedes.

Let us know how you are proceeding.

So far it looks like the hoses. It’s so messy I’ll have to look again and clean to verify.
It is a shame about the dealer they used to be more helpful.

That is great information. Thanks for all the sources.
I do stay away from using the dealer for work. I had a specialist do the exhaust on my SL. I’m hoping to do it myself. I’ve just done most of the fuel system hoses.
I did not know Napa did high pressure hose! That’s awesome! That’s why I was asking everyone because I was having trouble locating a high pressure hose.
I forgot to mention I have the CD manual for my cars. They are both on the same disk.

Good stuff. Once you've done it yourself you'll probably want to do more. It's good for peace of mind to know its done properly.

Let us know how it goes.

I have an update. I looked at the car today and the fluid seems to be leaking in the steering box area. The steering loses all the fluid just from sitting still- in the steering box area. You can look under and see the pitman arm on it and a huge mess around. I’m going to refresh my knowledge of the system and report back. I have the manual on my computer. Thanks.

If it's the box, don't even think about rebuilding it without the special tools. Try to find a used box that doesn't leak so bad. Mercedes steer boxes almost never leaked until they came out with the V8s. The hot exhaust manifolds fried the seals.
