Purchased by a Vancouver, British Columbia realtor in 1991, she drove the car for it's first 55,000 kms (not miles) in 15 years after which she was hit on the front driver's side. The grille, front bumper, driver's side headlamp and front driver's side fender needed replacing. Unfortunately, the Insurance Corporation of BC decided to write this $100,000 CDN car off rather than repair it...I suspect because parts are more valuable??? An elderly gentleman with connections to a body shop bought the car as salvage from ICBC and proceeded to make the repairs (painted the whole car I guess because he could???) and drove it about 21,000 more kms in the next 12 years. He downsized and had no more room to store the car. I had the good fortune of finding this gem with just over 76,000kms and have been driving it as my daily driver. Due to age, not mileage, I've recently replaced the front brake rotors/pads, the front suspension (tie rod assembly etc), spark plugs, rotor and have purchased new accumulators for the rear suspension SLS system to be installed soon. LOVE this car. It's a pleasure to drive and still looks gorgeous.
