This is a labor of love. My first car was a 1979 450SL. I kick myself every day for letting it go. That said, I've just purchased another 1979 450SL. I've decided that I want to completely restore it. Regardless of the miles I know she's going to be a beauty. She's just been purchased and on her way here to Amsterdam from USA. So I hope to get a lot of information from this forum, chat with like-minded lovers of the W107 and document my restoration. Since the car runs and drives well, I'm going to check the bulkhead and get started on the interior. I've never in my life changed a color combo on a car, but I'm inclined to change this one. I've examined the color codes and something just isn't right. Either way, I'm going Bamboo on the interior.
