Purchased used in 2015 with 199K on the clock for a whopping $1400. Pushing a 1/4million now. I drive nothing but aging MB's and I do it because of the economic advantages, mechanics and ride/handling ratio. I've owned seven (all others were/are early 1980's diesel 300's ...well, okay, there was one 200 in there too...) solved many a mechanical issue on the side of an interstate and love my rides. Dependable, earnest transportation that, in the US today...is even often viewed as 'cool' too! Lived in Germany for five years in the early 2000's. There's a great deal of the Deutsche form-follows-function premise I really like...and even search out!
