Spotty. Better now. 46K miles, Michigan car. 1st owner, impeccable maintenance. 2nd owner, did his best then lost all the records (and had to sell the car) in a divorce. 3rd owner, friend of the second didn't know what to do with it but knew enough to make some urgent repairs and put a pretty good paint job on it. 4th owner, me. The path back to greatness, including the past year in a friend's auto spa repairing minor rust & fresh underbody treatment.
1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 108.018 (Anthracite)
M130.980. 123 Ignition fully-electronic distributor programmed to a 1969 curve w/1969 coil & threw away the "black boxes". Works much better now, even with the vacuum timing retard (still has some pop-pop on hard decel).
None (why would you replace an original Becker Europa radio?)
Kingpins, A-arms, coils, swing axle, the best 1930s technology. Slowly replacing the rubber bits front & rear to improve isolation.
Wheel and Tire
Steel wheels & some whitewall Toyo tires slightly larger than they should be. Might go w/the Vredestein BW for authenticity.
