History
This car was purchased by an NBA Player new from a dealership in Florida. Then it was shipped to Texas where the owner proceeded to customize it. He replaced all the seat leathers with White leather and custom embroidery. He also switched out the armrest, steering wheel and shift knob with white leather. Then had most of the external trim pieces painted white (door handles, headlight wipers, Grill, etc.)

It was then traded in and passed from dealership to dealership for a few years ( time spent as a loaner car, and sitting on lots waiting for a buyer). Finally, it was listed for sale at a Cleveland dealership, where I found it.

My plans are to undo all the tacky things that the previous owner had done, and return it to it's proper elegance. Redo the upholstery, remove the 20" drug dealer style wheels, repair the suspension (damaged due to the large wheels no being cared for properly), etc.

It should be perfect when I am done... which may take awhile.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Bosch Platinum 4+ Spark plugs.
K&N factory Air filter replacements.
Interior
Replaced Cell Phone control with Pocket insert in upper dash.
Removed factory cell phone form upper dash and arm rest.
Exterior
Vinyl wrapped grill blades - PO had painted the blades white. I wanted a quick way to change the look of the blades until I could figure out a better way. Vinyl wrapping them in some Hexas Frozen Grey I had laying around seemed to do the trick.
Audio
Pioneer MVH-X560BT Head Unit - Disc-less AM/FM/Bluetooth Radio. Syncs with app on my Galaxy S4 to provide content from Pandora and other apps.
Front Speakers - PO had JL Audio speakers installed in the doors. THe tweeter (which is mounted int he door skin, just above the handle (looks hidiuos IMO)) and 7" woofer remain. Plans are to replace fronts with a Four-Way system the has: 8" Woofer, 6 1/2" Mid, 3 1/4" Mid-Tweet, and a 1" tweeter from Dynaudio. Since the tweeter in the door is there, I either have to live with it and get a better sounding one, or get new door panels. We know which is the best choice, since new door panels are rare.
Rear Speakers - FOcal 5 1/4"/1" seperates. Will be replaced with Dynaudio
Sub - (1) 10" JL Audio subwoofer in custom enclosure - Will also be replace with something; not sure what yet...
Suspension
Replaced Rear Brakes - Brake Labs Cross-Drilled and Slotted Discs, Porterfield RS-4 Carbon-Kelvar Pads, Rebuilt E-Brake on both sides.
Rear Brake Lines replaced.
Wheel and Tire
Carlsson 1/15 18x8.5" wheels. These 15 spoke wheels were purchased by me over 15 years ago, with the knowledge that I would one day have a C140 to install them on (they spent some time on my old 1988 W124 300CE, and my wife's 1997 W202 C230, but most of the time in storage). I think they are perfect for this car, mostly due to the period specific look and feel of them.
