PSE hose diagrams already in the alphabetical STICKY under PSE...
outlet for trunk labeled HECK or HACK or some german word for ‘rear’.
on My phone so not easy to add links. Will let you do a little scrolling within STICKY
I haven't read where you checked the integrity and health of the battery itself. It may display surface charge of 12-13vdc but if a cell is shorted or failed somehow, it may not store the voltage...and the electrical appliances on the car may be weak performers...or not even function. It comes...
just to clarify, dielectric grease isn't to be used to IMPROVE electrical contact but to insulate and as
corrosion resistance. so only after verifying that the connection has the desirably low resistance,
THEN consider applying the grease as a protective layer.
note what mrboca suggested...
I have graphite (black) seats (front heated driver/passenger, rear bench, rear back)
and door panels in 80% condition. $350 for all plus shipping but hoping someone
nearby can pick up (Seattle WA 98144)
oh, I re-read your question: the STICKY shows 1996-98 because that is
how the thread originator titled it. ditto for 00-02. if your head unit uses
the fiber compliant design, you would reference the 00-02 AUX IN thread
for your project. BE SURE to review all model identification references...
...what they said. also, if you radio utilizes D2b fiber optic connectivity for the CD
then you will not be able to 'tap' into the CD inputs and may need to consider
alternate mods such as tapping into the circuit board (STICKY-ied 'AUX in/out')
i don't have a rear shot of the head unit but...
AGM will withstand colder temperatures better than a flooded cell and may not be a waste of money. AGM can also be better for car owners who aren't hoving over their cars and attending to battery PM or who don't put as many miles per year (vs daily drivers).
i don't know about car batteries enough to know how they're shipped and prepped before sale.
but i know that with motorcycles, the batteries can be DRY charged and shipped without
electrolyte ... which is only poured into the cells just prior to sale. because of this, I'm less
The flooded cell design is at a slight disadvantage vs the gell or AGM since there is more solution exposed to the cold. one would need to be on top of the maintenance by ensuring that the battery is in good health and as fully charged as possible.
low charge = less dense = more water = lower...
I don't recall the 420 mirror being any different than the 6-cylinder models. should be the same. the mirror
part is also shared with some 203, 202 models. if you check ebay or Amazon you may see that fitment
sharing is possible. I don't have the interchange pages for non-210 so I am not...
a little OCD, I am. I made a backup every 6 months. I also made PDFs of the more
than 75% of the w210 STICKY-ed threads which I felt I might need for my own repairs...
knowing how easily online information (especially members' DIY photos) can disappear
due to expired accounts, etc.
the new Benzworld structure has modified, somewhat, my ability to make edits as easily as was possible under the old Benzworld environment. slowly working my way through the dead links offline and hoping to dump the changes into (new) Benzworld alpha-STICKY very soon. r-
RWD has separate shock and body assemblies in the front suspension, whereas 4Matic has the shock assembled inside the spring up front. in the rear, they share similar set up (4M and RWD) unless it's a wagon
