Headlight washer question.

Current owner of a GLK. It has the headlight washers to which I wired in a separate switch to wash them whenever I want, but that's neither here nor there. I have been checking out GLCs on Autotrader, and no matter if it is the cheapest nor the most expensive on offer, I do not see cutouts for the headlight washers. Did/does the GLC not come with washers - either standard or optional - or are most buyers really that cheap that they just don't take the option? My 2005 C230K Coupe had them, and I went right out of my way to find my current GLK for the headlight washers. I don't think I can take another step down after MB decided it made more sense to wash a windshield 10 times to shoot the headlights.

Looking forward to your answers!

No Merc comes with headlight washers any more. Too bad -- I thought it was a neat feature.

I think it might be because of the type of headlamp bulbs. Older types generating heat that makes dirt stick to the lense, so with cars with LED lighst it may be redundant. I'm sure I read that somewhere and it made sense to me.

Possibly the greatest thing since turn-key ignition! 😁 I'm really gonna miss it.

I truly hope that's the reason, and that I don't need to stop at gas stations just to wipe them off. I fear that in a handful of years, we'll be placing a crank through the star on the grille to start our cars 'cause MB feels like turn-key/push-button start wasn't a popular feature.

I have much appreciated the headlamp cleaning on my old W126's, after a good 20 years or more with cars without. Stopping all the time because you can't see and have to wipe the snow or spray dirt off the lights, is not fun.
