MB going cheap.
When I bought my 2011 GLK350 4Matic in 2015, I noticed some things missing that my 2005 C230K SC had.
- my GLK doesn't remind me to close the sunroof when I shut it down and open a door;
- the interior lights come on whether it is day or night, they only turned on at night in my W203;
- no separate headlight washer button. The only way to wash the headlights is to activate the windshield washer 10 times in a row. If you go for a short ride and wash the windshield 9 times then shut the car off, the next time you start the car, the cycle restarts, meaning, odds are the headlights never get washed. I wired in a small button through the headlight switch cluster to activate it myself;
- actual dip stick and no way of checking through the multi-function display (kind of a toss up);
I'm pretty sure there were a couple more things, but they slip my mind. I bring this up, because I am looking at GLCs on Autotrader, and it seems like none of the 2016s on offer have headlight washers, and I wonder if it is just MB going cheap as time goes on. I love MBs, but I love my options better.
Anyone else notice something that their previous Benz had that this one never offered?
