Gauges stopped working

Last week ESL in my 2010 GLK quit on me. I fixed it (replaced motor) but wheen I started the car, now gauges do not work: speedo is on 0, tach sits at 1000, temp is at 0, fuel shows 1/8. None of them move. Rest of the cluster work: all warning lights, ilumination lights, center info screen.
Hooked up MBll code reader. Have instrument cluster stored (only, not current) codes but can not clear them: P046164 (fuel level sensor range...), B210A84 & B210D16 (power supply low...)
Checked IC fuse, good. Took it out and put it in (re-powered IC), but nothing helps.
Any ideas what should I do next?

Couple of more questions:
Why would I be not able to clear stored faults?
If I get used instrument cluster, would it need to be programmed/coded? And if yes, will it work (gauges) before coding?

Solved.
Removed and reinserted all fuel system related fuses (7 of them). All back to normal. What a relief.
First code (fuel level sensor range..) pointed me in that direction.

I think I may know what triggered this ordeal.
When waiting for parts to fix ESL, with battery disconnected, I added 20l of fuel to the car. My thinking is that when battery was reconnected fuel gauge reading was not what "car" was expecting. When one at the time fuses were removed and reinserted something did reset itself. If that makes sense.
