Ut most likely is a weak battery. They last about three years. I can almost mark it on my calandar when to expect the battery to go bad.

I had the same issue and they had to replace the steering column lock that integrates with the key, (or something( to the tune of $1000.

When the battery kicked it gave ample warning it was on the outs.

Same car & I had same issue. I bought mine in 2015 with 85K miles, one owner, excellent on time dealer only maintenance. At about 100K miles I had stopped for gas, Left key in ignition with phone charging in glove compartment playing music through speakers & daytime lights were on. Went inside (friends still in car) got food for everyone everything was okay. Stopped at a Dollar Store to grab some travel gear before getting on road. When we came out of the store the car wouldn’t start ... same symptoms as you described ... had to get it jump started. My quick weekend road trip was cancelled. Took car to my MB guy ( not the dealer) on Monday & got it replaced with brand new OEM battery for about $200 which included the labor.
