GL 500 M273 fault code issue- frustrated
Hi, i have tried to post my issue a few times back in feb but have had no replies, any help would be much appreciated.
X164 GL-ClassÂ*> GL 500 M273 2006
Hist-The balance shaft and timming chain replaced at 120,000km,Transmission and flex plate replaced at 297,000km due to exploding trans oil pump. current kms 298,000.
I have just replaced both inlet & exhaust cam adjusters on left bank 2. Mercedes dealer analysed fault-recommended replacement based on fault codes using mercedes Star analysis. Cleared codes after repair. Fault still there.
Current Problem-car runs rough, throttle responce delayed, hard to start, trans in limp mode and has following fault codes now P0016,17,18 P0391 & p3066 analysed using Foxwell NT650 ODB2 scanner.Â*
Checked timming at 305deg with cam adjuster sensors removed-every thing lines up perfectly with all 4 holes. Checked twice!
Aux White Battery symbol on dash info cluster screen. (not sure how to clear?)
Note. Originally before repair-fault codes only related to left bank. Now have both bank faults after cam adjuster replacement.
Tested 4 cam pos sensors, 8.78M ohm, pin 2 signal wire alternates 0v-0.9v dc when steel placed in front of sensor, pin 1-3 12.5v dc all same result. Is this ok or pin 2 should =5v max? Checked crankshaft pos sensor, pin 2 & 3 5v ea. Ohms 280kohm, 2.4 Mohm.
Since both banks have same error could this be an oil supply issue? Changed oil and oil filter, didnt help.
No miss fire fault codes yet! What tests should I perform? Any help would be appreciated.
Why get both banks with these faults.
Prior to cam adj replacment no issue with bank1. Right side.
Only ever used Mobil 1 oil.
Using Foxwell NT650 ODB2 scanner.
Frustrated, where to from hear. Any help much appreciated.
