Hi I am new here and have posted this in another part of this forum and have been redirected here.
I live in Western Australia and breed Alpacas and need a means of carting them around rather than hooking up a trailer all the time.
So I have been searching the WWW and have come down to one of two choices.
I have some associates that already either of the following.
1. 125 T350 Ford Transit EX Ambulance
2. Mercedes 316CDI Sprinter Ex Ambulance
Now the owners of the each swear by them casting dispersions about the other. Some have suggested The Transit 125 T350 2.4 litre diesel as it has good power an economy.
I like the Merc for the following, true auto, 2.7 litre, power windows ,abs, esp, good economy.suspension seat.Sun roof.
The Transit seems more roomier in the back???
Can this forum advise of the pros and con of the Merc they seem to come in Real auto or Sequential Manual Auto Clutch. Which would be a better option.
Why an ex ambo, I'm told the suspension is modified making slightly more comfortable ride? is this true.
Both makes have windows.
BTW looking at 2003-2006 model with between 90,000kms-160,000km. These fetch between $24,000-$30,000 IN WA.
One of my Trannie owner friends tells me there is some chain in the diff that goes bang a lot, I don't know what he's on about as it was a bit vague.
Look forward to any feedback on known ouchbits.
