Transmission sluggish shift in Sport mode

B250 seems to not shift gears smoothly when in sport mode? Sometimes it seems as though it is stuck in a gear and doesn't want to down shift or upshift when it should.

In Eco mode there is no issue, as well as Manual mode, the transmission shifts up and down smoothly and quickly.

What gives? Any and allideas are appreciated 🙂

I suspect the transmission is not 'stuck' but is holding each gear longer, unless you are going up or down the gears. This is part of the sport setting. Each gear is held longer so that the engine revs higher as you accelerate. It might also shift down so that the next lower gear engages at a higher engine speed. This would also result in faster, possibly less smooth shifts. It is a performance setting and probably not a good choice for general driving around. If you're racing around, it is fine. Otherwise, it is not supposed to be comfy; its supposed to be a less comfortable, more aggressive shifting program.

Thats my guess, at any rate.

This happens if you switch to sport mode, but don't drive fast. Sport mode is meant to be used when you are pushing the car. if you drive normal or slow but in Sport mode, then it will only feel like it's hanging on to lower gears too long.
