Common problem for the B250.

This happened on my Jun 2014 Build B250 about a year ago. Also the Thermostat which was intermittently passing coolant. I went to McNally's in North York (GTA) and instead of replacing the Thermostat, he kept it in the open position. Since I was out of warranty, this was a huge savings (only charged me 1 hour of labour) and warned me that the only risk is that it could take longer on cold days for the car to warm up. Its been about 10 months and I haven't noticed that problem and the car is still driving great! He had done the same repair on a CLA250 previously so I think the thermostat is a common problem on these cars.
