Here you go

Make sure you have actually performed the service

One is an official Mercedes WIS page, the other is more user friendly ... whichever you like - it works.

I have tried to do this, but somewhere on forum I found that if mileage is reduced (returned) you can’t reset service. It is happening in my case. What should I do??

Please explain how milage is returned or reduced please..? That's a new one on me..

Over here the dealer doesn't look at letters or #'s of service..He looks at the total mileage on the B and does the appropriate maintenance..

My B started with a B service (showing..) ..and others here have started with an A service showing....no set standards in this country..

...and no maximum costs applied either..Less expensive if services are performed out West from what members have reported here....

It is normal for us here in the Balkan. On dashboard it shows 160k km, but actually it is 260k km.

UK models show different letters, depending on additional items required, and one or two spanners, indicating a major or minor service ...

I just go to ESS site and get the list of what's due from there.

I also keep a brief extract from a service booklet, with all relevant services on a single page (I edited the original Mercedes pdf) -I find it very useful.

Here in the US it's a federal crime to tamper with odometers.

That's ... really not nice ...

Don't you have some sort of an annual roadworthiness test, whereby the mileage is recorded?

To skim 100k one must roll back quite a bit every year, for a good few years ...

OK...I get it..but do take some screen shots for us to confirm...so 160,000 is still interesting as it's 260,000..

My B also shows ~25,000 kms on it..It resets at each 99,999.99km..as it runs out of counting places with the tenths and hundredths of a km showing..

..But if you look at the dash and scroll through the pages..total mileage comes up..so I see ~125,000 in the dash..on another page..This should also happen in your car..you just have to look around a bit..

Ah, I didn't know that

I thought with modern digital display odometers no longer reset the count every 100k?

I believe Breadford is talking about people "rolling back" the count, which in UK is also a criminal offence.
