Cylinder 1 Low Pressure

Hey guys, I have a chance to purchase a 2009 B200 w/ 107km on it for $2000. The only issue is that its reporting "Cylinder 1 Low Pressure"....

I am not sure how serious of an issue this is, and would like a little advice.

I purchased a 2009 B200 w/ 157km on it last year for $2500, and it has been an awesome vehicle. However my transmission is making a horrible sound, and it's due to the front pump in the lovely CVT.....
(don't get me started on CVTs) then the sunroof started acting up, and the front and rear speakers sounding a bit blown out... The vehicle is still my daily driver, and is a nice smooth ride, it just has it's flaws.

Long story short... is this purchase worth it?

Can I swap my engine into it, and bypass all of it's engine issues?
Could I take the CVT out of it and put it into my other one? (if so i'd want to fix the sunroof aswell, and i've seen the process... doesn't seem like something i'll ever want do)

I will be speaking with the owner tomorrow to get more details on the vehicle.
-She has told me she has owned the vehicle since 40000km, and there was an old lady before her who drove it.
(ps. current owner is an older lady aswell)

she has had it maintained, and has all paperwork to show the maintenance for the past 10 years.

Sorry for the rambling.

Q's: Is the cylinder pressure issue something worth while to try and fix? Engine swap worth it? Should I try to get it for less then $2k?

Thanks.

I don't see any problem with switching things between the 2. Both CVT's..should be good to move around and then you have the same drive shafts types between the 2.. and maybe lots of future spare parts..

Do a compression check on the 4 cylinders to be sure and compare....and then check for a bad plug also.

There are good mechanics here that will add important info to help you decide...Good luck !!

is this combustion pressure or oil pressure warning?

Compression test for sure. Also agree, please clarify what specifically is low pressure.

Remember that the labour is quite a bit to swap engines.

Just to clarify, there is no sensor to detect low compression inside the cylinder. That's why we're asking. There are fuel and oil pressure sensors. Also, the computer can tell if a cylinder is not contributing equally compared to the others. It can also detect misfiring. A good scanner will show misfire counts, pressures and sensor values, including real-time and freeze frame data when the issue occurs.

Are there any codes present?
