hi. today I heard engine ticking and recorded it. I hear it time to time. Do you have any idea? Should I be concerned?

Yeah, its called fuel injectors via direct injection. They are always ticking.

Seriously, you should just get yourself a Toyota product. This car seems to be making you paranoid.

No direct injection on that car.....but yes it's the solenoids in the injectors.

I'll go against the crowd on this one.
This sound is too loud for injectors.
Disconnect the purge valve and see if the noise stops.

The day your mechanic tells you to get rid of your a class is the day you should get rid of him.

what do you think it is coming from other than purge valve forrera? because I know purge valve sound, it cycles time to time together with this sound. I think this is not coming from purge valve. I added another video recorded today, sound dissapears after a few seconds.

What about the air pump? I guess the sound is more clickety clack than ticking?
