Comand not retaining Vehicle settings

Hi

I have been having problems with some setting for items in the Vehicle Comand menu not being retained between starting and re-starting of the car.

"Lumbar" OK setting is being retained

"Rear window blind" OK setting is being retained

"Easy entry/Exit", is not always retained, and I can not set "steering wheel only" without setting "seat and steering wheel" first then changing this to "steering wheel only" ???!!!

"Exterior lighting off time" OK setting is being retained

"Interior Lighting off time" OK setting is being retained

"Ambient Lighting" OK setting is being retained

"Automatic Mirror Folding" setting tick, is not retained but function is ?!

"Locator Lighting" OK setting is being retained

"Automatic Locking" OK setting is being retained

"Interior motion sensor off" setting is not being retained

"Tow-away protection" OK setting is being retained

"Trunk Lid height restriction" OK setting is being retained

I have changed the Auxiliary Battery under the dash but this has not helped.
The original Battery when installed was indicating 12.4 Volts, after its removal it was showing a no load voltage of 12.8.

I need Help to find out what is going on.

P.S. I also can not get my passenger side mirror dipping for parking, or moving far enough to see the rear wheel. this is the subject of another thread. I only mention it in case it is related.

Please Help

Regards

Since you have replaced the Aux battery, I'm out of ideas - except to have an SDS diagnosis run (or, if you have done this yourself, to provide us the readings).

I see 3 issues. For "Easy entry/exit", there is a seat computer reset you can try. It varies by car so you'll have to look yours up. I know you're trying to move the steering wheel only but it does affect memory settings for the easy entry feature. Couldn't hurt to try it.

"Automatic mirror folding" sounds like it's working but not working automatically. There is a chance that your car never had this feature or never had this feature activated. Some years required you to hold the button down.

All that's left is "interior motion sensor off" resetting back to on. You must have a doggie. "Interior motion sensor off" is a security function and is only set for one cycle. It cannot be set to off permanently using the COMAND functions. I'd imagine there are ways you can manually disable it permanently.

Thanks for your input Guys

Warren

I have not tried an SDS analysis yet myself but my indy said he did not get any error codes from his, I will try myself when I get time.

Shadly thanks for your input.

Yes I have 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks Harry & Tala number 8 and 9 for us and we take them everywhere with us as we always have, fantastic breed, they have all been great companions and have all had different characters.

Re the motion sensor, I suspected that it was a feature that could not be turned off permanently via comand but sometimes mine does turn off for a few re-starts then comes back on again.

I was going to try disabling it with SDS but I have not tried that yet.
I also thought that I may be able to try programming the programmable button to turn it off as that would be convenient, but this may also be a problem if the button just toggles the setting.

The mirror fold is not working at all.
Are you sure that some SClass W221 did not have that feature, I was under the impression that all of them had it, it is not listed as an option in my manual ?!

Thanks again for the input Guys

I was referring to the "auto" part of it. Depending on the year, sometimes you hold down the button, sometimes you just tap it once.

It sounds like a coding issue. You may SCN code the NTG 3.5 and see if the correct settings appear.

On the mirror control, ensure the passenger side mirror is selected when Reverse is engaged.
