Ok, what the heck am I doing wrong??? I downloaded from the link above using Ex-Load(because it was the free one). It was a RAR file. I used 7-Zip to unzip the RAR and now I have a jpg, a CUE file and a WAV. When I play the WAV, I hear static. When I burn a disc using the CUE file, I get 6 labeled tracks of static. Did the original go kaput or am I overlooking something? I wouldn't think I'd need a codec because I'm on a Windows 10 machine.
So... nevermind. It's totally me. I popped the CD into the Mercedes just to see what it did and it decoded DTS perfectly. Windows Media Player did not! I downloaded AC3Filter because that says it can decode DTS and allow Windows Media Player to play it but I'm not having much luck with it. Not a big deal. I don't have a Dolby Speaker setup or anything in the house. I'm just going to have to have some faith that I downloaded and burned properly.
The sound from that demo disc is amazing! I'm going to have to try some Led Zeppelin or Depeche Mode next. Looks like I have to wait 24 hours between downloads so I'll get to fully appreciate the most recent one. LOL
