Question Digital clock setting.

I have the command system and have managed to update the time on it ok. However, there is also a digital clock in the dash display immediately to the right of the display showing the drive gear. (Bottom right of the display). I've looked in the manual but can't figure out how to set it. At the moment it's just blank, so if I want to know the time I have to turn on the command system ( I don't wear a watch anymore).
What do I do?

At least on my 2003 S430, the time comes from the GPS. You set the time zone in the Service menu on COMAND.

Also possible to set it from the steering wheel buttons. I did this on the project 2000 S500 after the Android head unit upgrade.

Hi,

/\ /\ /\ Yes to both, but it may need the Cluster re coding, if it is set as "Synch to COMAND", and there is a problem with COMAND

There will not be a menu option within Cluster to set clock on dash if the coding is set to synch

So... It would be prudent to turn that setting off before pulling the COMAND and installing an Android head unit?
If so, I don't recall seeing that detail within the Android thread.

Hi @4DGeorge ,

You can do the recoding after you have done the Android, it is in the Android info somewhere, both myself and @cowboyt did it.

Yeah, I did it afterward. Wife is back to driving her S500 now (she was driving the S430 this last week). I've got my car back!

Have you tried System Settings via the SERV button?
