That was briefly with the old ECU. Something with the new parts isn't right. The guy want to come over with his laptop and charge me $200 for a few hours. I told him maybe once I get the intake manifold replace. Right now I'm looking for a cheap parts car that was running but totalled. That way I can pick from it what I need.

I like buying parts cars because it’s easier to swap out. Just make sure to get a matching version, prefacelift or facelift.

Hi,

OK, now we are getting somewhere ...................... You have sorted the Immo issue perhaps a plug wasn't seated correctly first time .....................

So it Backfired !!

Are you definitely certain this hasn't come off a V6 Car or somesuch so it has a different firing order, (this is controlled by Motor variant coding), it will say E43 for a 430 V8, E50 for a 500 V8, E32 for a 320 V6 etc etc ?????????????????????

Tell that fella to go jog on, he wants to charge you when his supplied parts are either faulty or not correct ...................... Yeah Right !!

Once again SDS would be able to confirm or refute all this, I am just giving you an educated guess based upon what you are telling me

HTH,
