How do you load the jar file? Anything after jre 7 requires high to very high security and you cannot change that. However you can add an exception under security. Just click "Site Exemption List". You can either use URL or FILE syntax.
URL = http://prefix.hostname.suffix
FILE = file:///<drive_letter>:/<directory>/<file>.jar (i.e. file:///C:/temp/file.jar
You would have to add an exemption per file or just use the pathway with no ending "/" and that should allow any jar file to run under that directory.
Thank you for replying to me on this issue, it really is much appreciated
I click on the Tickertape program, and that loads up the mosaic.jar, don't know exactly how it works
Ahhhhh, now this is where I am a "Software Numpty"
I tried all sorts of FILE exemptions into Java 8 on Sunday, all to no avail
However, I had put "file://
" and not "file:///
So, ok I will uninstall JAVA 6 and re install the latest Java 8 and re try the above
Will let you know if it works
Seems sensible to me
Glad you posted that ATA / AHCI BIOS option, otherwise I'd have been head scratching and swearing when I get my new SSD later this week for experimentation, probably going to try that on the #2 Disco Karaoke machine and see how it compares on the slower D820 / 3Gb RAM machine
Can anyone recommend a good program from EBay that is Idiot proof for cloning the existing HDD onto the SSD ?? Needs to be in plain language for me to work it
Edit:- Forget that, SSD just turned up, instructions say I can download a Cloning Software from Toshiba site
So, see pix, I now have everything I need to get started with my first SSD Drive, if they are as good as everyone says, I'll be spending a whole load of money soon to replace all my drives with SSD
If this is good I'll go for a couple of 500Gb SSD's for the 2 Disco / Karaoke machines, and some circa 320Gb for my diagnostic stuff
Looks like I might as well write off the rest of this week, out all day Friday, and I'm waiting on bits for a Car with Immo Grief, so I'll re book the BMW for next week and play IT Technician for the rest of today and tomorrow
OK, so 1 final question from the "Software Numpty" (for now)................
If I, (read anyone), clones their working SDS Drive, will it still need the Key Codes sorting, or should they clone over with it ??
Many Thanks ya all, I'm actually learning a helluva lot right now ............... One day etc etc
