Thanks T. I was not very keen on the colour at first, but I bought the car because it was so clean with some history to it. Having owned it for a year or so it's grown on me a lot now. In certain lights it's a really nice grey. But in other lights the tinge of gold puts me off a bit.
It's Pewter (in North America) or Cubanite Silver in Europe.
Thanks
Ollie

Just bought a 2002 S280. 162k Kms on the clock. This one has not had much love and I canít see it ever being a concours machine. Iíve bought it as a tool to learn on. Ultimate goal is to jump to an S55 or 600L in either 220 or 221 format.

So let the crying begin! By the way I parted with 1,500 or Europeís finest beer vouchers for this ownership experience. I must be mad!!

260 km drive home after deal was done yesterday. No lights or errors. Air suspension soaked up everything. Car is so quiet the squeaks for the seat as the weight shifts is annoying me.

Hereís the best pics and I need to start a to do list now.

Howdy Dave, NW Scotland is a nice part of the world. Some nice little distilleryís in that neck of the woods.

Thanks for the comments but itís a case of ďNice from afar but far from nice!Ē

The colour code is 744 which is Brilliant Silver I think and does a good job of hiding the blemishes and rust bubbles. Was looking at breakers last night for a rust panel to hone my panel repair skills on. All part of the fun.
