E55 Limp Mode/Trans issue (again?)
 
I have finally updated and gotten a video just to see if anyone can figure out.
car has been having transmission issues again, no torque? A whining noise is being made and gets louder as the revs increase. My car IS supercharged, but the sound the engine bay is making is similar but a lot more louder.

from 1:26 in the video is the whine noise I am talking about. I do want to make it clear, my supercharger is NOT that loud when it was working normally.

Your tranny is likely to be fine check the codes and get the live frame. You likely have other issue that gets your ecu to disengage your tranny... it could be a lot of things including your cats

Do you have any issues putting it in the gear? If you have access to a star computer that could help you diagnose the issue. Check if the exhaust smells strange.

Had the same problem last summer, had to get towed 150miles. The issue would come up after driving for 5-10mins everytime after that.. Had multiple slip codes and implausible ratio, ended up replacing the conductor plate and the transmission connector plug. Changed filter and oil of course, so far the problem has not come back, 1500 miles later.

Make sure your fluid level is spot on, using the Mercedes dipstick as it will cause the issues you’re having.
