AIRMATIC CONVERSION

HI TO EVERYONE OUT THERE!
JUST WONDERING IF I CAN GET SOME FEEDBACK ON AIRMATIC CONVERSION.
I'M CONSIDERING STRUTMASTERS KIT OR ARNOTT'S KIT.
IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED EITHER KIT I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME FEED BACK.
EASE OF INSTALL, PERFORMANCE, SATISFACTION, ETC..
RIDE HEIGHT ISSUES?

2005 W211 E5

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO RESPOND

I HAVE HAD GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THE STRUTMASTERS CONVERSION KIT ON THE W220 (S600)! IT'S REALLY COMFORTABLE AND THE CAR HANDLES WELL! I DID HAVE TO INSTALL A FRONT ANTI-SWAY BAR, THOUGH, TO HELP CONTROL LEAN! HOWEVER, IT'S COMFY ENOUGH TO GO HUNDREDS OF MILES, EVEN WITH 19" AMG WHEELS, WITHOUT PASSENGERS OR DRIVER FEELING FATIGUED OR UNCOMFORTABLE! RIDE HEIGHT IS JUST LIKE STOCK! I WOULD EXPECT THAT THEIR W211 KIT IS EQUALLY AS GOOD!

HOPE THIS HELPS!

:-)

Did you get the pas module with your kit?
If so how did it work and what about the install?

It does work and cancels the error messages that will show up on the dash without the module.

Here is a vid on how it goes in on a W220. On the W211 it goes into a wiring group under the carpet on the passenger front side.

Yep, and the module does a good job on my car. The dash messages went away, but the LED's on the (in my case, ABC) suspension adjustment buttons--the ones on the dashboard--are now always on. This is normal, and it doesn't bother me one bit. Also, SDS shows a "Current" code for the ABC subsystem (same will happen for AIRmatic). This, too, is normal and expected.
