Cabin Hvac not working

So, I just did an almost 1400 km trip over the last 2 days. The car mechanically was flawless. However, today in the heat and hot sun, the HVAC wasn't up to snuff. The fan wasn't circulating the air properly. Just to be sure, I took the cabin air filter off and ran the fan to see if that was the problem. Nothing changed.

When switching the position of the airflow, or turning off defrost, nothing changes. One can barely feel the air moving out of any of the vents. Even though today, the air was cold.

What are some common issues that would cause a situation like this? Is there a sticking door? The car also has the charcoal filter, but nothing changed by switching that on and off.

Anything else to try?

I don't know that it's the fan. The fan speeds up and slows down properly when the dash control is used. It's like a door is stuck shut.

The HVAC troubleshooting procedure is exactly the same, what on older models.
The only difference is that starting with W211 MB deleted REST button and option for sensor reading, so unless you have rare one with the button - you need appropriate scanner.

Unrelated to your problem, but since you have the REST button, Do you have vents in the door pillars for the rear passengers?

Today, I got into the car, and the air was flowing fine. Wish it was the same the other day.

Back in Fall of 2017 my airflow was sometimes weak coming out of the front vents, then in the winter there wasnt much flow at all so i replaced the fan, everthing was Working fine for two months then The fan would only run on the three bottom positions, no high flow, if I attempted higher fan settings it shut down completely for about ten minutes. A new regulator fixed it all.

The thing is that I've watched the fan physically while cycling through the speed settings. They're all fine even when there is low air flow.
