Floor mats?

Are the MB floor mats for the W211 pretty similar in quality to the older floor mats with the rubber backing that falls apart?

If this is the case, I'll pay more for cocomats and be done with it..

But at $115 for a brand new set, it's very appealing. Can anybody literally just take a photo of the backside of the floor mat so I can see it? I can't seem to find any photos of the back side of them.

Thanks.

Matt

Unfortunately it uses the floppy thin material that eventually just separates from the mat.

The rubber MB mats are the way to go.

Buttttt I want luxurious something something something...

I'm sure those rubber mats are excellent, but sadly I'll probably be stuck splurging $300 for a complete set of sisal mats from cocomats.com ...

I mean, I live in a desert. I basically never, ever need all-weather mats. So, the more luxurious options are quite nice.

But thanks so much for the reply, at least! I know I will not buy the MB ones, as cheap as they are.

I have what I believe to be an original set in my '08. 116k miles. They seem to be structurally fine. I'd definitely buy another. Winter ones are great too, but I definitely prefer carpet in the nice weather.

08... ehh... I'd imagine they'll need more time to really fall apart. I am used to older 90's cars and those floor mats are definitely aging. I'd imagine these stock ones will likely age in the same fashion. I just don't want to blow $120 on mats and then have to replace them anyway. :/

'08 is 11 years old. How much would you expect to get out of something that is solely to put your feet on or protect your carpet? Seems like a damn good value to me. These are still in fine shape.

Sure, that's probably not too bad. I just like to buy things one time if possible. The cocomats are probably indestructible and should, in theory last forever.

Thanks for this.

I actually just got home yesterday and checked mine (they're the wrong color, that's why I want new ones)... and they have a foam backing instead of the rubbery backing.

Maybe these hold up okay? I'm considering it. I do like the way the factory ones look.

I wasn't aware they changed the backing, but apparently it's foam now. Not bad.
