No links. Just call your MB service manager. He said they are not mailing recall notices, just will service it when it occurs.

I no longer own SBC, but even previous warranty was having its limits.
So what exactly new warranty covers?

Service manager said anything that goes wrong with the hydraulic components is covered. I have not see the specific wording, won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I have a feeling, that replacement due the pedal count is not covered.
Just saying.

I would agree. I imagine an error code/warning light or failure are the only ways for warranty coverage.

I tried to keep track about reported SBC failures and to date counted about 15.
So the 15 cases would get new pump, when all the rest still have to pay for new pump when schedule comes due.
BIG DEAL

I don't think there is a "scheduled" replacement of the SBC unit. It either throws a code/fails or it keeps on working.

Yes, it is.
Just like with FSS for oil counts miles, the SBC counts pedal pushes.
Suppose the number is 600,000 but system also counts pump activations, what is affecting the main number.

According to Bergstrom in Appleton the SBC is extended to 25 years from the in service date.
Exceeding the pedal activation counter is also covered. One of their service advisors is somebody I worked
with in the auto business back in the early 90s.
This not only covers the W211, but also the SLs, Maybachs, and the McLaren SLR.

So that is excellent news for SBC owners.

I contacted MBUSA via email and they confirmed the warranty extension covering everything regarding any SBC issues. The reply stated a snail mailing will be going out to all registered owners regarding this issue!

Glad MB did the right thing!
