Passenger Side SIgnal LAmp on side view mirror

The signal indicator on the passenger side view mirror works but the clear plastic cover is broken. ANy suggestions on how this can be repaired ?

Do I require a new mirror or can the plastic cover be replaced?

Also, I only have 1 key. Is the dealership the only place I can go to get another key because I can just imagine what that would cost.

Cheers

hey there - very likely that dealer is your only bet for keys; i know that's the case for my W210.

as for the mirror signal cover, that should be an easy part to just remove and replace...i'd ask the dealership what they charge because that's one of those parts that very likely is not kept in large supply at some of the discount warehouse stores you see linked here. can't be an expensive piece and you should not require a new mirror.

Current: 2014 E350 4Matic sport sedan, 62K miles, black/black; P01 Premium Pkg/Keyless-Go/Power Trunklid/pano roof/heated steering wheel/lighting package/driver assist. Purchased 1/2/17; Delivered 1/4/17.

Sold but not forgotten: 2002 E320 4matic sedan, black on beige ("sport" package - bird's eye maple trim, 17" sport rims), 108K miles upon sale.

RIP: 2000 E430 4Matic fully loaded - totaled 12/9/2006

..and you should easily be able to replace the directional cover yourself; don't let them charge you to do it probably as easy as popping it out and popping the replacement right in.

I am interested in changing my mud or bottom light on the outside mirror. I had a BMW that had bright LED's under the door handles that looked sharp. Does anyone know how to change them and what bulb it takes. I pulled back the mirror and there is a big spring holding it.
THanks
