I already posted that im in the process of replacing the power steering rack. In the meantime I've been filing up regularly with hydraulic fluid. The genius I am I forgot to put the resivior cap on and it's now gone. I cannot find the cap alone or just the resivior for the e300 anywhere. They are selling the pump along with it. I did find one for the 98 e320 just the resivior and cap. So question, is it compatable with the e300? I've learned not to assume.

might be time to go hit up a pick and pull. I see a reservoir by its self on amazon- $43 with the cap. I'd go to a local scrapper and see if you get lucky.

vin#?

Could do a quick search to possibly verify parts interchangeability between models/classes.

Just buy cheapest one you can find and see if cap fits. Brand does not matter. In a meantime put something over opening and secure it with zip tie.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't your hydraulic fluid reservoir for the suspension also double as the fluid for power steering?

What makes you think that he has SLS ? I thought SLS is for the wagons in the USA.

Based on his vin# provided. Using his vin in the search, this vin shows up.
