High RPMs at highway speeds

Hello guys ,yesterday i was going in ashort vacation with my wife with 2 big bags ,the way is perfect but its mountain way, it is about 680 m above sea level ,anyways i was on 65 mph the outside temp is 33 c my car temp guage is at 95 c (AC IS OFF) , I was on D shift S mode but i 've noticed a high rpm it is on 3000 ,speed 65 mph ,i used to be 2000 rpm on speed 65 mph ,I NEED YOUR OPINIONS GUYS ABOUT A HIGH rpm ON SUCH LOW SPEED WITH TEMP GUAGE OF 95 c ,IS THAT NORMAL ?

P.s Its ashort distance trip just for 31 miles....

3000 rpm at 65 is 4th gear. Makes sense, you're going uphill and car downshifts to maintain speed.

Also, this forum is very slow.... Don't expect instant answer. Hell don't expect answers within a day.

Thanks bro,but its not a complete answer what about the coolant temp 95 c...
