Replaced the stock suspension with a set of new Koni Yellow adjustables and H&R Sport springs, professionally re-aligned with oem camber bolts. Original 3 bump spring pads were retained to approximate the standard euro-spec ride height. Parts cost was reasonable at $116 per shock and $227 for a set of 4 springs. I ordered online through Race Consulting Agency (no affiliation) which had the lowest prices I could find but also free shipping and no tax, the bolt kits were an additional $17 each from MB.
Very happy with the ride so far, the Konis were set to the softest setting to start and it's noticeably more comfortable than stock going over war-torn I-5, albeit the shocks were likely 18 years old w/140k miles, as to be expected handling improvement around corners is significant as well.
In the future, I may experiment with shorter front spring pads to give a hint of frontward 'rake' but happy with the look as is, hope to take some photos this week.
