Yes, the adaptive tranny is annoying and it does make the car feel slower!! I just drive a bit hard to get rid of the lag...have you noticed that when you have the AC on, the car revs more easily like the adaptive tranny reset?

What are we talking about here? A Bugatti Veyron or a Venom GT or a Saleen S7 or hold on a second even an Infiniti G37??? Just like Renault 12 said any modern car today easily cruises down the interstate at 100 mph, heck even my sister in law's minivan keeps up with my car at 90-95 mph with three kids in the back seat
I know you like your car, so do I and everybody else here but after all these are 4 door luxury sedans and what you are experiencing is what they supposed to do, nothing more nothing less, remember these are older cars they are early 90s technology if not late 80s, probably you were not even born back than, it is such a short period of time for human beings but huge achievements made in the technology.
Heck when I was cruising 100-105 on I-80 at midnight ( as a side note cops and tickets don't scare me a bit) this little late model Hyundai Accent kept up with me a good 50 or 60 miles, he even tried to tempt me a couple of times but what he didn't have in the back seat was a wife and a baby, I know it's annoying as shit but get used to it.
So, no matter what you drive, there is always something faster than you out there, unless you are driving world's fastest street legal super cars, just take care of your car and enjoy your ride and don't worry about another 430 misses a second, it doesn't make em a lemon.
Al
YEs I do have a sense of humor and am appreciated all the time! Yes I know there are faster cars out there...but I am just saying how easily this car can do high speeds and you don't even realize, they are quiet, I have to admit, this is the best car I have sat in my life, That includes a brand new 2007 Lexus ES350 when we went for a test drive, 1999 GS300, Mercedes ML320 of my relative, 2004 Odyssey of my uncle, and a 2002 Altima 3.5SE of my aunt. Out of all this, mine is just a little better...smoother, comfortable, and high end

Kajtek, it is the machine sir, it is the machine. You can have the best driver in a piece of junk doing his best all day long, but once the douchebag in the GTR or the blonde in the RS6 pushes pedal to the metal, it's pretty much over, sorry my friend it is the reality.

All to some degree.
When I was driving 44HP pickup I was in the mercy of other drivers, winds and so on.
With 90HP wagon I could keep 75 mph even on long grades we do have in California all around.
Sure Charger would outrun me on straight line, but when it come to passing the cars on the left lanes, the driver was "just not intelligent enough" to use truck lane
Not making split-second decision can cost you couple of minutes blocked on the road.

Do try it when the adaptive tranny is in the "lazy mode", switch on the AC and I am sure you will notice a slight difference and the car will go a bit easily and the gas pedal will be more responsive.

Oh yeah guys, when I turn the AUX fan on manually, they make a knocking/rattling sound while running and I could feel in at idle, the floor vibrates a little like something is hitting those fans, I will take a closer look tomorrow. And with the CAT, I was washing the car yesterday and when I sprayed water underneath on the CAT and drove the car after, the rattling was gone for a while!! So is it that they only rattle when they are hot?
