Try these two: Sylvania 64132 or Philips 12036.

If you do not mind a little darker, then Sylvania 3893 (T4W) bulb could be used for the H6W.
Must be a bax9s base bulb with offset pins, so T4W/3893 won't work. Yes I know this is an ancient thread and I don't care.

if you're providing clarifying information and it helps other folks with their 210

I'm sure these issues have been all but resolved, but should anyone be interested, we carry a few different brands of headlight assemblies, so you might be able to find one a little more tailored to your budget. We should sometime soon be the cheapest place online to buy Hella headlights as well, as we have been working out a deal with them for a little while now.

If you're confident in the bulbs being compatible (I don't see why they wouldn't be, I just haven't every tried swapping them out myself so I'd rather not vouch for it), we should also carry the bulbs though Benz or VW. Genuinenewparts.com also carries the bulbs, but from what you said, it doesn't look like you'd save much going genuine Mercedes. However, if the VW trick does work, the bulbs are dirt cheap on that site and the shipping should be free in mainland US.

Not to thread hijack, but what does a pair of stock W210 headlights go for these days? Mine are getting a little tatty, but I realize tossing a set from the pick 'n pull will gain me little.

Using our site's search tools, I pulled up the assembly for a 2000 E320 and it was either about $240 each w/o xenon lamps or about $600 ea with xenon, give or take. I wasn't sure which E class you were asking about, so I just hit in the middle. The lamps carry over through those years to my knowledge. You'll have to forgive me if my ignorance is showing There's a reason I'm not the guy on the phone picking your parts out!

I think it was a little cheaper to go through partbull for xenon and a little cheaper to go through genuinenewparts for the non-xenon. I'm sure you could get on the phone with our sales guys and haggle either one down a little bit.
