Question Tire Hopping

New to the forum so just trying to learn the navigation. I was looking for 'tire hopping'. I have a 2018 C43 AMG now a year old. The car has 21" tires and the car hops or skips whenever I am turning and the tires are cold. Problem is somewhat diminished when I put on the winter tires (19"). It's very disconcerting as I never really get used to it. Anyone else in the car freaks out and think I have hit or run over something. I thought I would find something here but could not see anything. However, I might have looked in the wrong place.

Also, my air suspension broke and the front of the car was resting on the wheel. Bizarre.

Would really like some input on the tire hopping thing.

amexboi,

First, specs on your wheels and tires?

Do yourself a favor, get rid if the 21s and 19s. These w202s were not designed to ride on 21s, let alone 19s.
How are you not rubbing your tires when you are turning?

Max wheel size is 18 - 225 40 18 front and 255 35 18 in the rear works.

17" is ideal for the ride, suspension and comfort for this WB and for TO highways and roads, imo.

khomer2 thx for your reply and to answer your question...
the car came equipped with R 285/35 ZR 21/F 255/40 ZR 21. These were suggested by the dealer, who now acknowledges the issue.
I am trying to understand what kind of responsibility they have to satisfy me.

Thoughts?

Any photos? (not to embarass you...)
I'd really like to see these fitted on your MB.

Suggested by the dealer!!??
What a boat load of crap.... another shady stealership suggesting it's ok to have oversized wheels/tires.
I would tell them make this right with a new set of wheels and tires that conform the the vehicle they sold you.
This is a dealership.....acting like a curber. Unloading their trade-in from possibly another buyer?

Here's a chart typically what will work on a w202. You can find this on pretty much any reputable wheel tire online website:

Way over sized. Not even an optional approved tire size.
Make the dealer fix it! Its under warranty.

@amexboi , I'm the moderator, and what he's telling you is you posted this in the wrong forum. Your car is chassis W205, not a W202, so I moved it into the proper forum.
